Core Business Process: Transit Facilities and Park-and-Ride Operations & Maintenance

Bus Stops:
The Transit Services Department is responsible for state of good repair and cleanliness of approximately 750 bus stops of which 258 have shelters. 
  • During the ongoing Covid -19 pandemic our bus stop maintenance program will continue to focus on increased cleaning and disinfecting.
  • Use of face coverings are required in public spaces and on all forms of public transit and social distancing is encouraged.

Transit Centers/Park-and-Rides:
The City of Mesa Transit Services Department is responsible for the management and cleanliness of three Transit Centers and four Park-and-Rides, providing 1,016 parking spaces. 

Utilization is significantly lower than pre-pandemic levels of 51-58%. Since March of 2020 usage has is between 6-8% due to a large number of employees working from home.
