Paratransit is a shared-ride, door-to-door, or curb-to-curb transportation (provided in vans and/or taxicabs) provided to people with disabilities who are unable, or have limited ability because of their disability, to use fixed-route buses or trains. All public transit agencies providing fixed-route bus and rail service are required by the ADA to provide this service.

Park-and-Rides (PnR) are designated for daily transit use and free to use; parking for more than 24 hours is not permitted. There are 7 PnR’s within the City of Mesa. 4 are owned and maintained by the city; they are located at Gilbert Rd/McDowell, Power Rd/202, Superstition Springs Mall/60 and W. Juanita Ave/W. Jerome Ave. The other 3 PnR’s are owned and maintained by Valley Metro, and are located at Sycamore/Main St., Mesa Dr./Main St., and Gilbert Rd/Main St.

Properties by address and parcel number currently owned or sold by the City. Properties may or may not include buildings. Typically, addresses are included only if a building exists.

In the City of Mesa, RideChoice provides taxi service to those certified as ADA Paratransit eligible at a deeply discounted rate. Service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and you can choose your own taxi provider. There is no requirement to book your trip in advance, and you do not have to share your ride. The amount and cost of service varies by community of residence, but in most cases, shorter trips cost less than or equal to a comparable ADA Paratransit trip
