Reclaimed Water Management uses highly treated wastewater to preserve the use of drinking water sources for future consumption. The City of Mesa uses reclaimed water for cooling towers at the Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant, irrigation of agriculture on the Gila River Indian Land in exchange for Central Arizona Project water to be used at our Drinking Water Treatment Plants and recharge aquifers for future use during droughts.
