Data is reported by High School, School Year and shows the number of students who took the PSAT by grade level, their performance, comparisons with the state and nation. The data also provides the percentage of students considered on track to be college and career ready as measured by the PSAT. Mesa Public Schools students are not required to take the PSAT test. Beginning in the 2015-16 school year, the district committed funds to pay for any and all students who wish to take the PSAT test. High School counselors work with and encourage students directly in taking the PSAT test.

Source: ESRI Community Analyst 2015. It is important to note that in this dataset, a “Full-Time Employee (FTE)” in Mesa is someone who may not necessarily live in Mesa, however, they are employed at a business that is located in Mesa. This is a distinct difference between the “Employment” number in Mesa, which is stated in the “Employment Dataset.” Employment refers to the total number of Mesa residents that are employed, within or outside of the City of Mesa.

This dataset describes information related to the City of Mesa Housing Authority (MHA) which administers the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. The program assists low-income individuals or families living in Mesa with rental assistance according to their income. Information in this dataset is used to calculate the Utilization Rate (the percentage of vouchers that are leased up of the number of allocated vouchers from US Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) to MHA) and the Voucher Budget Authority (the percentage of the allocated funding dollars for rent payments on behalf of current housing voucher participants).
