This dataset describes total amount of tax assessed by the City of Mesa by month as well as the salary & fringe benefits of the City of Mesa employees in the collections area.

The percent of number of surveyed mail and print services customers who mark satisfied or very satisfied on services received.

The amount of tax and non-tax revenue collected and the employee costs to collect.

Number of active gas, water, and electric utility accounts and billing adjustments made.

NOTE: Effective March 1, 2019, the Mesa tax rate increased from 1.75% to 2.0%. Period revenues are delayed by up to 120 days. For example, May revenues are generally posted by mid July.

This dataset contains sales tax revenue for taxpayers within the City of Mesa by posting month. Revenues from license and renewal fees are NOT included in this dataset. Posting month is the accounting period the City booked the revenues and is used for financial reporting and budgeting. All HR Training instructor lead classes (in classroom and virtual) are included in this dataset. Employees evaluate the training on a 1 (Strongly Disagree) - 5 (Strongly Agree) scale related to how the training overall met their learning need. HR Training staff review the course evaluations completed post class for our instructor lead classes and take the average the Overall rating each the month for all of these classes. The metric is based on the percentage of 4-(Agree) and 5 -(Strongly Agree) affirmative responses by employees.

This dataset contains revenue for active Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) taxpayers (also known as Sales Tax) and Transient Lodging Tax (TLT) taxpayers (also known as Hotel / Motel Tax) located in downtown Mesa. To see a map of downtown Mesa boundaries see the "Source Link" below. Revenues are grouped by Reporting Period Year and Reporting Period Month. Reporting period generally refers to the time period when the consumer activity took place and is a representation of economic activity in the city. For example, a sale registered in the month of March appears in the reporting month March, regardless of when the payment was received/posted by the City. As taxpayers make payments and other corrections to previous periods, over time monthly revenue numbers fluctuate. Generally speaking, monthly revenue numbers for consumer activity become more accurate over time.
